It is the focal point of this method. All the work starts from and held through the Center. This was called by Joseph as a "Powerhouse". Working around a centerline and two perpendicular lines, a cross from shoulder to shoulder, and another from hip to hip, what is called frame or box. This is the engine that focuses the body when this comes into action.
Concentration: This is necessary to achieve the benefits of this method. Is the mind that guide the body and in every action that executes focuses the mind
When working concentratedly and from the Center is acquired control over movements. This is what Joseph Pilates called "The art of control".
Precision: Each exercise is designed in order to achieve maximum benefit. Working with quality instead of quantity.
All exercises are performed to the rhythm of breathing. Inhaled at the time of the maximum effort to send fresh muscles oxygen when they need it and exhaled by expelling all impure air from the lungs.
Fluency: The complete work consists of a series of exercises that flow into a vigorous dynamic. A minimum of movement corresponds a maximum of fluidity.
